Bought a RC Car, turned on worked for about 3 minutes and stopped working. Contact customer support, very difficult to get a hold of. Clearly defective. RC would not accept return as the product was opened. Selling defective products and RC Planet is not standing behind products being sold.

My son used his money to buy a RC airplane. We found out later that night there was something wrong with the receiver because it wouldn’t stay bound with the transmitter. The next day I took it back expecting some kind of support and “expert” help. The employee told me the issue was with the built-in GPS. The problem is it doesn’t have GPS (Carbon Cub S2). He assured me it did, but somehow couldn’t figure out the issue (surprise surprise). I ended up leaving and called Horizon Hobby tech support. They were great to work with and agreed the RX was bad. They agreed to replace the plane and even called RC Planet, spoke with the manager, and let him know I would be coming in. When I showed up the manager said he couldn’t replace anything until he could speak with HH. At that point HH customer service was closed and I asked him if he spoke with them earlier. He said he had, but for some reason (that I still don’t understand) he needed to speak with them again. I returned to their store 4 days later and found out the manager had not done anything he assured me he would do (call HH) and thus still couldn’t replace the plane or even the RX. So at this point it’s almost 1 week since my 11 year old son spent $250 of his hard earned money to buy a defective plane he couldn’t use, and despite me getting HH to authorize a return RC Planet still couldn’t get this done. I honestly cannot understand how deep your lack of caring about your customers must be to arrive at this point. The employees at the DMV could teach RC Planet a lesson about customer obsession! I gave up on RC Planet and got the part mailed to me directly from Horizon Hobby.
As an encore to my experience a couple of weeks ago, they outdid themselves today. I needed a replacement prop, and against my better judgement, I called the store to see is they had one in stock. The guy “checked the back” and confirmed that they did have one. I showed up about 15 minutes later and the manager told me they didn’t have that part. I told him someone confirmed via the phone they indeed did have it just 15 minutes prior, to which he replied “well we don’t have it”. Well done RC Planet; you out did yourself!

I've ordered parts with my dad's info as a guest but idk how to keep track of the shipping

Bought one RC truck and they charged for 2

So I made a purchase with my paypal on April 5th. A week later they charged my credit card for another 400$ and sent me two remote controlled trucks for 800$ when I only ordered one. They have no option to cancel orders. You have to contact them and by the time they reply they already shipped the items. Then tried charging me 40$ to ship it back when they never had a option to cancel. I only wanted 1 RC truck and charged me for 2. Then charging me to ship it back so I had to sell it when I got it so I didn't loose money. I let my bank know what they did. And they took note of it for future problems with them. I suggest watching very carefully on what you purchase to make sure you dont get charged double. They will not help you out and will over charge.

RC Planet sold me a lemon Kraton 6s

I ordered a big rock 4x4 rc from RCPlanet and it worked perfectly. I went back to order a Kraton 6S, and after driving it 50 feet on a small hill, the rear suspension arm split (most likely already cracked.) I immediately stopped driving the RC, and I reached out to rcplanet. They told me they could not refund or replace an item once driven. Keep in mind, I have been a loyal user of the Big Rock 4x4 on the exact same terrain FOR MONTHS. The Kraton broke after going 50 feet.
So, rcplanet referred me to Horizon Hobby, whom they claim services all warranty issues. The only catch here is that horizon hobby doesn’t respond to emails. I have emailed them 20 times with only a canned email response on the first email. They gave me a case number and the email said I could log in online anytime to check the status of my case. Of course, the case number simply doesn’t work and I get an error message when trying to check on this with horizon hobby.
I’ve reached out to rcplanet to let them know their warranty company (horizon hobby) is not resolving this issue. Rcplanet has since stopped responding to my emails. I spent over $600 on this Kraton 6S. I even gave rcplanet the option to give me a store credit because I do enjoy their RCs WHEN THEY ARE NOT A LEMON PRODUCT. I continue to send horizon hobby a new email each day, as it is most likely a “company” based overseas. Where is the 2 year warranty that rcplanet falsely advertises on their boxes. Borderline criminal to take an Air Force veteran’s hard earned money which I used to buy a cool RC for my son.
Steer clear of this company unless you are fine with paying out of pocket for lemons.

Ive been calling no answer they took…

Ive been calling no answer they took the money out of my account and i have not revieved any response about my order very unprofessional ive sat on the phone gor over an hour then it goes to another type of ring nobody answers

3 times orders no issues , trusted online store

I ordered 3 times from them, compared to others they are cheaper and have many shipping options, fast shipping and good experience overall

them scammers scamed me i was paying 62…

them scammers scamed me i was paying 62 dollars of parts then we receive it it says it was 93 dollars they need to be shut down ne ver shopping here again them utah scammers hope yur place burns on fire you filthy bums

Bad experience

Bad experience. This place has the worst management in the world. They obviously have something wrong as every 2weeks to 2 months they have new employees. It’s a revolving door it looks like. Iv spent thousands of dollars here and will never spend another dime.

Their revenue > your customer experience

Refund received

RC Planet did send a refund for parts not in stock. It is better when a company does not charge your credit card until parts have shipped, but I appreciate the refund.

Not in stock items for sale - how considerate :(

I purchased parts for my RC plane and received this notice, after my credit card has been charged. VERY BAD business practice to sell items not in stock !!! I took a chance, knowing that others have had the same experience. Never again.

Horrible customer service (Manager William)

Horrible customer service. Went in to purchase one item. Spent over 30 minutes watching the manager (William I believe. Skinny, tall, tattoo inside his weak bicep. Probably says something like “live Traxxas or die”) hang out with the customer before me. No urgency at all with paying customers in the lobby. They also continue to take phone calls which resulted in an additional 10 minutes of me waiting at least. Manager finally finished up and he ignored me by walking around the store and taking yet another phone call (even sat down as if to convey I was on his time). I was admittedly frustrated (Probably said some things I shouldn’t have) which triggered the manager to take his time even more (He wields lots of power in the company I guess. Hard to tell exactly how much. Just a myth at this point but if RC cars ever take total control, well, one can only imagine...). When I finally said something directly to him he told me I could leave the store. Just like my 8 year old does when I tell him he’s done something wrong. He said he was helping a customer and he gives every phone call the attention it deserves. Come on man! I was there OVER 30 MINUTES! To buy one thing! It was the equivalent of standing in line at Walmart and the cashier having an unnecessary, long, drawn out conversation with the customer before you. William is a total d bag. I told him I would contact his manager and he told me he was the all powerful one and he didn’t care (I should have asked for his mother’s contact info at this point. Maybe he’d at least get grounded or have one of his rc cars taken away). Every bad review is exactly accurate. Just look at their responses to the bad reviews. They are never wrong and the customer is never right. This isn’t the first problem I’ve had with them. When I spent $1000 and bought two cars before. One was defective out of the box. They wanted me to go through warranty and wait weeks. Ol’ d bag assistant to the regional manager William ended up giving me a car that was sitting on the wall with dust all over it. I don’t know why I went back but it was close and on the way. I should have gone to amazon. RC Planet is the worst. Everyone who has a good experience here has never had to utilize their uncanny customer service. I bet d bag regional manager William (Bill?) will decide to read this while he has a line of customers staring at him who are there to give him money in exchange for something he has the goal of selling. Buy from them and you’re an idiot like me. They will go to war with you if you have any complaint with what they sold you. Tattoo idea for Bill’s other bicep, traxxas tire tracks with cursive script saying “hold my remote while I take your girlfriend”. Can’t wait to see his reply. Probably something like I’m wrong and he’s won more rc races than me. Total badass.
